Again, I take nothing away from the previous two games, but of you do only have time for one of them, then I recommend Dark Souls III. While I strongly recommend playing all three Dark Souls games, Dark Souls III is my personal favorite due to its more streamlined mechanics and gameplay. From Bloodborne to Hollow Knight and Monster Hunter: World, a huge range of games have been deemed Souls-likes. Then came fire, known as the First Flame, bringing with it the idea of disparity, dividing and defining separate states such as heat and cold, life and death as well as light and dark, after a few more event you come in.
